What qualifies as a dental emergency?

You wake up with a toothache. You take an elbow to the mouth during an athletic event. We understand and want to help!

In our opinion, a dental emergency is any oral health situation that causes you pain or puts your teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues at risk. A toothache and elbow to the mouth certainly qualify!

If you’re unsure whether your situation is a dental emergency, we strongly encourage you to contact a member of our dental team for guidance. We can evaluate your symptoms and determine whether you should come in straight away.

In some cases, a chipped tooth or loose restoration can wait until the next available appointment if it is not causing you discomfort and there is no swelling.

Emergency dental treatment may include:

  • Tooth Replacement

Our goal is to relieve your pain and restore your oral health.

Treatments will vary by patient based on the nature of the dental emergency.
