Affordable Dentistry in Comfort

At BMB Dental Clinic, we believe everyone should enjoy high-quality dental services, no matter their financial situation, and we strive to make your dental visits as affordable as possible. For those who qualify, we accept a variety of payment options, including payment plans. And we’re so confident in the care we provide, we also provide a warranty for every service (terms and conditions apply).

When you visit us for general dental care, we’ll personalise your treatments to meet your needs, and we’ll use the latest dental technologies to help make your procedures more comfortable and efficient.

For example, we use rotary endodontics, a special electrical handpiece for performing root canal treatments in our clinic, to make root canal therapy faster and more precise. With technologies like these, we can shorten the time our patients spend in the dental chair and help improve treatment outcomes.

Dental Fillings for Cavities

Cavities are, unfortunately, very common dental problems. However, we can treat cavities in our Mona Vale dental practice with a variety of filling types, including:

  • Amalgam (silver) fillings
  • Composite (tooth-coloured) fillings
  • Glass ionomer fillings

The above filling types are known as direct dental fillings. In modern dentistry, we most often use composite fillings to treat cavities. We can remove less tooth structure with composite fillings than with amalgam fillings, which leaves the tooth stronger. The composite materials also blend in with surrounding teeth, creating a natural-looking smile.

We also provide indirect dental restorations at BMB Dental Clinic, including inlays, onlays and dental crowns. We can perform direct dental fillings in one appointment, while indirect restorations require a tooth impression or digital scan, which we send to a laboratory. When we receive the indirect restoration, we use dental cement to attach it to the tooth.

We often make inlays and onlays with strong materials, such as porcelain, that will last longer than a composite filling. However, the expense for these materials is often higher.

When you visit our clinic, Dr Moharrami will carefully examine your dental situation and discuss your options before recommending the best tooth restoration for you.

Dental Filling Costs Explained

On average, a dental filling costs between $200 and $375, depending on the extent of the decay and damage to the tooth. The final price is generally assessed by the surface area the filling restores.

* Remember, these costs are averages. Your final price may vary based on the complexity or extent of tooth decay.

Tooth Extractions at a Glance

Tooth extractions may be necessary to preserve your oral health or to provide specific cosmetic, orthodontic, or tooth replacement treatments. On average, a tooth extraction costs between $250 and $700, depending on the complexity of your case.

* Remember, all tooth extractions are different, so your final price may deviate from the average costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

As each individual's medical profile and dental care needs are unique, the cost of a teeth cleaning can vary based on a number of factors.

Factors That Affect Teeth Cleaning Costs

  • Type of dental provider – the cost of a teeth cleaning can vary depending on whether you see a dentist, dental hygienist, or a specialised professional
  • Location – the cost of dental services can vary depending on location, with dental care tending to be more expensive in large cities than in rural areas
  • Oral hygiene habits –  a person who brushes and flosses their teeth daily and regularly visits the dentist for cleanings may pay less than someone who doesn't often visit the dentist
  • The severity of dental issues – if a patient has significant dental issues like tooth decay or gum disease, additional treatments may be required during teeth cleaning

It's always advisable to contact your dental clinic directly for an accurate estimate of teeth cleaning costs, as individual factors may impact the final price.

dental loupes in mona vale

Dental Loupes

Dental loupes are basically magnifying glasses. However, instead of holding a magnifying glass, the dentist wears the magnifiers like eyeglasses during dental exams and treatments. Dentists wear loupes to improve their vision while performing dental work and exams.

With an enlarged view of your teeth and gums, dentists can see small details they wouldn't be able to see with their normal vision, which allows them to provide more precise and accurate treatments and diagnoses. Dental loupes may also be outfitted with lights to help the dentist illuminate the area where they're working.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks, and we recommend seeking a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner before proceeding.
